  • Due to the heavy congestion in US LA/LB, there are 47 voyages have been cancelled on routes from Asia to USWC by major carriers in next 4 weeks. The on-time schedule rate is only about 34-40%. To alert all partners, its necessary to plan ahead for the next coming Chinese Lunar Year period as from week 3, the factory will be closed for at least a month. The other uncertainty factors of Omicron, global congestion, China power limitation, and Beijing Winter Olympics will put additional pressure on the transportation industry.
  • China’s Ningbo Zhoushan port is to increase handling 10% handling charges for loading and unloading from 1/1/2022. In order to make the process flow speedy and avoiding unnecessary burdens. 
  • Recently, China ports have increased the investigation for concealment of dangerous goods. ONE carrier issued a notice that if there’s concealment or misreporting of dangerous goods, the regulations will be strictly enforced.

  • Seaports: To avoid the port congestion, the port still restricts for the export laden container gate-in will be accepted only 7 days prior to vessel ETA, and only after the terminal confirms the advance reservation. Due to many blank sailings, which caused the tight space issue, and the freight rate increased.
  • Airports: There are currently no flights from Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Hong Kong to South Africa.

  • Due to the congestion is getting worse, many schedules have been cancelled to the ports of US LA/LB in December.

XMN

  • Many XMN shipping schedules have been cancelled, the rate will be expected to increase with no guarantee the spaces.

NBO

Due to many blank sailings, which caused the tight space issue, and the freight rate increased.

TAO

Some TAO shipping schedules have been cancelled.

TJN

PEK/ UA will be suspended for one month, 12/15/2021 will be the UA last flight.
