The worker worked at Ningbo Meidong Container Terminal corp. The terminal corporation adopted the centralized management in order to minimize the risk of infection. Every worker has to be tested Covid-19 once every 2 days. After changing shifts, they have to be isolated at home and confirm the health before they can go back to work.

The preliminary check suggests that it is an asymptomatic infection, and the Ningbo authority is carrying out further investigation to identify the genome sequence of the strain.

The Ningbo Health department said that all close contacts and second contacts identified. Relevant locations have suspended operations and carried out environmental disinfection.

The government has not confirmed how long the suspension will last. Supply chain delays are possible if authorities extend the closure. The follow up situation will be announced later once they have new update.
