By Nick Lung

When the goods of the owner meet the C3 customs clearance method, what method will the customs use to check whether the goods meet the import and export regulations of the Republic of China?

  1. Instrument inspection (or instrument inspection): Refers to the inspection method of using instruments to inspect containers (objects), and by scanning the images generated by containers (objects), to judge whether there is any abnormality in the contents of the goods.

  2. Manual inspection: refers to the inspection method in which the customs inspector physically opens the container (object) or unpacks the cargo to check whether the actual cargo is consistent with the declared content.

  3. Inspection customs officer: refers to the customs officer who handles manual inspection or re-inspection of import, export and transit goods.

  4. Instrument inspection customs officer: refers to the customs officer who handles the inspection of instruments for import, export and re-export containers (items).

  5. Customs instrument inspection station: refers to the place set up by the customs for the implementation of instrument inspection operations.

For the C3 customs clearance method, the packing list, packing list, catalog, manual, blueprint, notarized report or other documents required by the customs should be submitted for customs inspection. If the customs inspection fails to be submitted on time, the customs may, if necessary, notify the customs declaration agent to submit within a time limit. To facilitate follow-up work.
