This pledge underscores the industry's increasing acknowledgment of SAF’s value and paves the way for other airlines.

 

While the environmental benefits of SAF are undeniable, a common concern surrounds its impact on ticket prices. Currently, SAF production costs are higher than conventional jet fuel.

However, the cost will decrease significantly as production scales up and technology advances. Additionally, various initiatives, such as carbon offsetting schemes and government incentives, are being explored to bridge the price gap and make SAF more accessible.
