After the joint US and UK strikes on multiple Houthi targets in Yemen on the 12th, the Houthi "Supreme Political Council" issued a statement on the same day, vowing to target "all interests and objectives" of the United States and the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, countries in the Middle East expressed serious concerns over the escalating conflict between the US, UK, and the Houthi forces. Some nations condemned the actions of the US and UK, stating that it constituted a violation of Yemen's sovereignty and could further escalate tensions in the region.

A spokesperson for the Houthi forces, Yahya Saree, described the military actions as "barbaric aggression," affirming their readiness to strike "all hostile targets on land and at sea." The spokesperson also declared the intention to continue preventing Israeli ships or those heading to Israel from navigating in the Arabian Sea and the Red Sea. On the same day, the Houthi "Supreme Political Council" released a statement asserting that "all interests of the US and UK are now legitimate (targets)."

The Yemeni government issued a statement on the 12th, characterizing the aforementioned military actions by the US and UK as a response to the Houthi threat to the security of Red Sea navigation. The statement strongly condemned the Houthi forces for dragging the country into military confrontation for propaganda purposes and misleadingly associating attacks on Red Sea shipping with support for the Palestinian people. Yemeni citizens, in general, expressed dissatisfaction with the US and UK attacks and strong resistance to foreign interference in Yemen's internal affairs. Many Yemenis believe that Western intervention will only exacerbate the complex socio-political situation in Yemen.

On the 12th, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement urging Middle Eastern countries and the international community to work together to de-escalate regional tensions and ensure the safety of Red Sea navigation. The statement expressed close attention to the escalation of military actions in the Red Sea region and the airstrikes by countries such as the US and UK in some parts of Yemen. It pointed out that Israel's ongoing attacks on the Gaza Strip posed a risk of expanding regional conflicts, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive ceasefire and an end to military strikes against Palestinian civilians to prevent further regional upheaval and conflict.
