The Shenzhen Yantian Port, China has implemented more strict control for pandemic, full pandemic check and environmental sterilization. The West coast terminal is closed, and the East coast operation efficiency down to 30%, which lead to delay for import and export operations. Other than Yantian, Shenzhen Shekou and Chiwan ports have also set up pandemic prevention, the gate only allows to enter for ships arrive the gate within five days.

Maersk, the world’s largest shipping company, informed their customers that due to severe ports congestion, the next sailing schedule may be delayed by 7-8 days. Some ships will avoid passing through the Yantian and Shekou areas to reduce the impact. On the other hand, the US port congestion is also getting worse. In order to relieve the congestion in Los Angeles and Long Beach, some ships change destination to Oakland. However, because of the labor shortage, ships need to wait three weeks at the port, while in Los Angeles and Long Beach need to wait for one to two weeks.
