In later Dec 2020, China to UK ocean freight already reached USD 8,000 - 10,000/40' but it was just a signal of pulling a trigger of racing for higher rates from Jan 2021. Because of congestion in main UK sea ports and the shortage in labors by covid-19, some customers desperate seek for the UK space by throwing USD 11,000 up to 13,5000/40'. The common word to said, there won't be a ceiling on UK rate before Chinese New Year long holiday in mid of Feb 2021.

In the other side of Atlantic ocean, New York, New Jersey ports are fully speeding up with 24 hours working included new year holiday in order to solve piles of containers and hopefully make supply chain resumed to keep every merchandises both import and export recovered asap. The ocean freight from Asia to USA have reached the topmost in the moment but some ocean liners refused to take US IPI containers for the purpose to retrieve empty containers back to Asia directly from ports of west and east coast. Looks this way shall provide great deal to those long haul trailers. Overall, those crazy high transportation cost shall go back to consumers eventually. You and I am the one to take the last poison apples.
